Apple iPad 2

As you know, I already have the original iPad, or should I say, I had the original iPad (C is now the proud owner of a shiny, carefully used, original iPad). I decided that due to my iPad 2 shipping early (the 9th, and not the 15th that they originally stated), and C was working away for a week, I could survive a couple of days without the iPad and handed it over on Friday night. To be honest, you don’t realise how dependant you become on tech, I felt like I’d lost a limb…..that was until today when my iPad … Continue reading Apple iPad 2

Xbox 360 Halo Reach Edition

Now anybody that knows me, will know I’m a sucker for shiny things, and nothing comes more shiny that this limited edition Xbox 360s. I’ve been toying with the idea of getting a 2nd xbox for a while now, and when I found out that the Kinect device required a special port, (or an adapter), I thought I’d hang fire until this bad boy was release. Currently I have the Xbox 360 Elite, and to be honest I’m very happy with it, I’ve rarely had a problem, and defiantly not had any red rings of death. So, today’s the day, … Continue reading Xbox 360 Halo Reach Edition

Apple Time Capsule

As mention in my Happy Mac Day post I was awaiting delivery of the Apple Time Capsule ,and as assumed it did arrive today. I have to say, Apple once again made setting up and installing this device an absolute pleasure ! Below are the unboxing pics ..and finally a picture of it inplace Now in true Apple style, the setup was flawless, I put it on the shelf, I plugged it in, and that was it ! The iMacs and MacBook Pro all popped up with a prompt saying Time Capsule detected, do you want to set up Time Machine ? Click yes, input the … Continue reading Apple Time Capsule

Green light for faster broadband

The fibre rollout can begin in earnest says Ofcom BT has received the green light to begin its rollout of super-fast broadband. Ofcom has delivered its long-awaited ruling which offers BT more flexibility in the way it delivers fibre networks. BT made clear it only wanted to make the move if regulator Ofcom allowed a fair return on that investment. The regulator said that its ruling was a “pivotal” one for the development of broadband which it said would “be crucial” to the economy. Three phases “Our message today is clear: there are no regulatory barriers in the way of … Continue reading Green light for faster broadband

Homebrew, good or bad idea ?

Antirealism popped in to see me today on his way back from London and dropped off a pressy. Over Christmas when myself and C when to see family in sunny Yorkshire, we popped in to see Anti, and I ended up sampling his homebrew wine. I had a small glass and it nearly took my head off. Apparently, 3 glasses will make your face go numb, according to the father of said homebrew. Anyway, Anti popped in as I mentioned, and dropped off the full kit for brewing my own. The deed is done, it’s currently sat in my airing … Continue reading Homebrew, good or bad idea ?

The most miserable day of the year

Today is apparently the most miserable day today, everyone (most) are back at work, it’s cold, it’s windy, and snowing. Just to add to the pain and suffering, I’ve just finished the first of 90 days worth of workout from the p90x. Today was core synergistic…it hurt !, I can’t believe how unfit I’ve become in the last 2 1/2 months……and this is probably going to be my shortest blog, as my arms are shaking and I’m finding it hard to type…it’s kinda, type, type, delete, type, type delete, as I keep hitting the wrong keys…. I have issues..I think

Well today I had Tony Hawks project 8 turn up in the post…the worrying thing is, I couldn’t remember ordering it ! Anyway, checked the invoice, and sure enough I’d ordered it from Amazon, from one of their Fleabay style used sections. So cool I thought, I’ll play on that today. When to town this morning to have my haircut, once done did the regulation “Call in at Game, and Gamestation” to check out the titles, and ended up buying You’re in the Movies, (you know the one with the webcam), so looks like I’m playing that tonight instead, however … Continue reading I have issues..I think
