Like many I sat and watched live streams of the iPad 3 media event on the 7th March 2012, and sat at drooled at the new shiny. In addition to the iPad 3 being launched there was the announcement of the 3rd generation Apple TV. I’m a sucker for new shiny, so obviously the Vita has been on my radar since it was announce, the thought of having home console graphics and functionality on the move sounds like a great idea, however it’s more of a curiosity than a necessity. Just a quick post to show you a bargain I got. As some of you may know, I have a handful of remote control vehicles, for example the Millennium Falcon and the Delorean, Well this one is just another cheap toy for the collection. Remote Control Delorean

After playing with the Remote Control Millennium Falcon, I’ve been on the outlook for more nostalgic remote control vehicles. To list just a few on my “To get” list are, the General Lee, the A-Team van, Knight Riders KITT and the Back to the Future Delorean. Last year when I bought the iMac, I made the decision that it wasn’t a gaming platform, and I would use the consoles for my gaming needs. As with most things Apple, I’ve been toying with the idea of getting an iPad since I knew of their existence, however was always put off by the lack of multi tasking, however the recent release of iOS 4.2.1 has fixed that problem. At present, I’m awaiting delivery of my Apple TV (ETA Monday 4th October 2010). I was thinking last night of the future of the Apple TV, and how this is could be a lot more than a TV, and might be Apples version of a Games Console. Why you may ask ? Google Latitude on iOS 4 update

Now don’t get me wrong Latitudie does what it says on the tin, but boy…does it drain the battery. I also found that the only way to turn it off was to stop the background app from running, and then disable the location service for it. The setting I used for background were, Best location, periodic updates when not moving…off. With these settings, a full battery would last around 8 hours on my iPhone 4, and around 6 hours on C’s 3GS. Well today’s the day, and my new shiny iPhone 4 is here ! Just a little bit of background. About 2 and a half years ago, I bought myself a 2nd Generation iPod Touch 32Gb. Well, if you’ve got a PS3, and turned it on in the last 24 hours you will be greeted by the happy “Dude…there’s a software update, you know what to do…”..message.
