Sony PlayStation Move Racing Wheel

As I’m currently taking part in my own personal ‘No Shiny’ 2013 Challenge , I’ve not bought anything for a couple of months. If anybody regualarly reads my blog, you’ll know that I’m a sucker for shiny things, so this challenge is hurting as much as, if not more than the Year of Shame Gaming Challenge So Christmas was around the corner, and C asked what I wanted from Santa, so I reeled a few thing of the list of gadgets that had peaked my interest over the past couple of months, and the Racing Wheel was one of them. I … Continue reading Sony PlayStation Move Racing Wheel

Haynes Internal Combustion Engine

First of all, I’d like to say a massive thank you to our good friend Antirealism for buying me and C such an interest Christmas present. Secondly, I’m not sure what you all did for New Years eve, however thanks to Andy, me and C were kept occupied by the Haynes Internal Combustion Engine. As we hadn’t planned on going out, to stand in an packed pub, which we’d spend a fortune to get into, to only have to spend the majority of the night queueing at the bar….we decided to get some beer in, and build the engine 🙂 … Continue reading Haynes Internal Combustion Engine

PS3 Hard Drive Upgrade

Around Christmas time I bought a Sony PS3, with a 40Gb hard drive, feeling this would be more that sufficient. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve found myself having to delete demo, audio and video file, just so I can install games. Last weekend I bought Ghostbusters (blog coming soon), but was unable to play the game as it insisted on installing content to the hard drive before I could play, so time for an upgrade. I browsed the web and found a pretty cheap “Western Digital 500GB 2.5″ Hard Drive SATAII 5400rpm 8MB Cache – OEM Scorpio Blue” … Continue reading PS3 Hard Drive Upgrade

Halo 3 Finally beat !

As some of you may know, back in October I got a Xbox 360 Elite for my birthday, with Halo 3. Now before I could play Halo 3, I had to complete Halo 2 on the PC, as I’d done the first, but needed complete the play and complete the 2nd, to fill in the story arc. The 2nd problem I had was that I’ve been a PC gamer for a long as I can remember, and playing a FPS (First Person Shooter) with a controller, it’s just not natural. Over Christmas I spent a fair amount of time playing … Continue reading Halo 3 Finally beat !

Homebrew, good or bad idea ?

Antirealism popped in to see me today on his way back from London and dropped off a pressy. Over Christmas when myself and C when to see family in sunny Yorkshire, we popped in to see Anti, and I ended up sampling his homebrew wine. I had a small glass and it nearly took my head off. Apparently, 3 glasses will make your face go numb, according to the father of said homebrew. Anyway, Anti popped in as I mentioned, and dropped off the full kit for brewing my own. The deed is done, it’s currently sat in my airing … Continue reading Homebrew, good or bad idea ?
