Apple Time Capsule

As mention in my Happy Mac Day post I was awaiting delivery of the Apple Time Capsule ,and as assumed it did arrive today. I have to say, Apple once again made setting up and installing this device an absolute pleasure ! Below are the unboxing pics ..and finally a picture of it inplace Now in true Apple style, the setup was flawless, I put it on the shelf, I plugged it in, and that was it ! Happy Mac Day !

Well after much consideration, I finally took to plunge and bought a 27″ iMac. I’ve been running Mac OSX on my PC now for a good few months, and I’ve also got a MacBook Pro. A couple of things were holding me back, first of all gaming ability. As you are probably more than aware, I game….alot ! and the majority of games come out on the PC. As some of you may know, in just over 2 weeks I’ll be heading to the Holiday Inn in Birmingham for Dimension Jump XV, this year Red Dwarf Convention, and as we do a Red Dwarf podcast (ScutterCast), I thought it might me a good idea to record some footage while I was there. A couple of years ago I discovered, it was possible to run the mighty Mac OSx operating system on hardware that wasn’t Apple. As the versions of Mac OSx have come out, newer of the custom install disk have been released, the community has grown, and custom drivers have been written for the non-Mac hardware. Over the last 2 years, I’ve tried multiple disk and had varied success….however, I’ve finally cracked it ! The Eye of Judgement, well what can I say…. I saw what I thought was a bargain, which has turn out to be quite an expensive hobby. I was in the High Cross in Leicester the other Sunday morning, and popped into PowerPlay while waiting for the Apple store to open. Doh, Ipod Touch broken

As mention in my post (Gear4 AirZone FM ‘Follow Me’ ), It seems my Ipod Touch can’t power external accessories. Spent an evening googling, reading forums, restoring the Ipod to defaults, Restored via ITunes, updated to version 2.2.1, but still no joy. Decided I’d have to goto the Mecca in Leicester (Apple store in HighCross), and seek guidance. Gear4 AirZone FM ‘Follow Me’

As I mentioned in my previous post (Vectra SRI CDTi), I was bugged that it didn’t have an MP3 player. Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic

To be honest, I was hesitant of spending £54 on a pair of earphones, when I already had a prefectly good pair of Sony ones. The problem being that I use my Ipod Touch the most at work, which means that I have to keep pausing my podcasts.
