Along with the DCS-930L camera, I bought one of these too. The only difference I can see is the option for night vision mode, and it’s double the price. I configured this along side of the DCS-930L, and had the same ‘issues’, however this was mainly down to out of date Mac software. The configuration was almost idential apart from the fact I had the night vision option. A couple of years ago I discovered, it was possible to run the mighty Mac OSx operating system on hardware that wasn’t Apple. As the versions of Mac OSx have come out, newer of the custom install disk have been released, the community has grown, and custom drivers have been written for the non-Mac hardware.
